With more than a decade of experience, I'm a global expert in gender equality, women's political participation, and democracy and governance.
As a consultant, I have taken on projects for USAID, the National Democratic Institute, and other think tanks and local civil society organizations.
Before working as an independent consultant, I served as the senior global gender specialist at the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), where I provided technical assistance to IFES' work empowering women in politics, advancing LGBTQI+ inclusion around the world, and promoting inclusive elections and democratic processes. I also led a research initiative to improve women's access to electoral justice.
I hold a master's degree in public policy with a concentration in women's, gender and sexuality studies from the George Washington University, where I received a full-tuition fellowship and an award for feminist leadership. I also hold a bachelor’s degree in political science and French from Emory University.
I'm originally from Sarasota, Florida, and I won't miss an opportunity to complain about cold weather. I love Tampa Bay Lightning hockey, Survivor (yes, it's still on), and my cat, Muad'Dib.
